Hundreds of the religious and lay faithful of Arua Diocese flocked Ediofe cathedral parish to witness the ordination of seven deacons and one seminarian.

The holy order which ushered seven deacons into priesthood and a seminarian into deaconate was celebrated by Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki, the ordinary of Arua Diocese.

The seven priests are two of them Fr. Dominic Acema and Fr. Vital Atara belong to the congregation of the Jesus the Divine Master meanwhile Fr. Mark Acidri, Fr. Phillip Andreku, Fr. Joel Angualia, Fr. Moses Apangu, Fr. Pariyo Tuzinde are diocesan priests. Deacon Emmanuel Drici is the deacon.

The parish priest Ediofe cathedral parish monsignor Casto Adeti welcomed all the Christians for coming to witness the ordination. He called upon the newly ordained priests to spread the gospel of the lord to all the ends of the diocese.

In his homily Bishop Sabino thanked parents for embracing the family vocation where the priests are raised & urged them to be generous to offer their children for the service of God.

Charles Andrua, the COC chairperson for the ordination thanked Christians for their contributions which has made the ordination a success.

The lay faithful expressed their joy for the gift of the newly ordained pastoral workers in Arua Diocese

The ordained priests were appointed to serve as curates in different parishes across the diocese and Deacon Emmanuel Drici will continue with his pastoral work at Oriajini catholic parish. End
