The Chamber of Commerce Arua district is leading a delegation of business people for the 2019 East African Expo in Kenya. The ministry of Trade had directed the district commercial officers to mobilize the business communities to attend the forthcoming tradeshow.

Jobel Ayiko the assistant commercial officer for Arua Municipality has this an opportunity to the link the business people of West Nile region to the bigger market that is the East African community market.  Ayiko says the expo is an exhibition organized by the East African member states in Eldoret starting from 1st to the 10th of December 2018.

Ezuma John commercial officer Arua district calls this a great opportunity that the business fraternity should embrace because they will get exposed to the outside world.

Atima Lee Jackson the chairman Chamber of Commerce Arua district says attending the expo will prepare the business community in the district and Uganda at large for next year’s expo set to be between Uganda and China and hosted by Uganda. The expo is being organized by the Chamber of Commerce. Atima says they have put a request so that this expo can be extended to the West Nile region and hosted by Arua district.
