The Bishop of Arua Diocese, Rt. Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki, has annouced that Late Rev. Fr. John Sabo will be buried on Friday 1st February 2019 at Adumi Parish Centre.
The Bishop annouced the burial arragements on Monday 28th January 2018 after Father John Sabo passed on at Arua regional referral hospital on Monday 28th January 2019 after a prolonged illness.
Bishop Sabino says on 29th January, there will be a requiem mass at 12pm at Ediofe cathedral and at 5pm body leaves for Ombaci chapel Adumi parish for overnight vigil. On 30th January,Requiem mass at Ombaci chapel at 10am and at 5pm the body will leave for Nyio catholic parish for overnight vigil and then on 31st January, Requiem mass at Nyio parish at 10am and at 4pm the body will leave for Adumi catholic parish.
Burial will be at Adumi parish centre on Friday 1st February 2019 with holy mass starting at 10am.
Arua diocese lost one of the longest serving priests Fr John Sabo after her succumbed to a long illness according to the Parish priest of Ediofe parish Fr. Casto Adeti.
The clergy in Arua diocese have described the late father John Sabo as a mentor. The diocesan chancellor Fr. Norbert Ezale says that Fr. John was a great mentor to the young priests
The coordinator of lay apostolates in Ediofe Parish Victor Luciano Aria says he will remember Late Fr. Sabo for the love he showed. Luciano says that Fr. John Ssabo was the second black priest Ediofe Parish.
The pastoral coordinator of Arua diocese Luis Ajusi explains that Fr. John Ssabo will be laid to rest in Adumi Parish.
During his active priestly service Father Sabo served in Ullepi, Ediofe and Rhino camp parishes.
Fr. John Ssabo was born in July 1939; he was ordained in 1967 and served as a Priest for 50 years. May his soul rest in eternal peace. End
