President Museveni is considering to turn Naads now operation wealth creation into a revolving fund to support organized groups

Mr Museveni, who unleased a seven point strategy for improving household income noted that program, has not fully achieved its objectives

“You give coffee seedlings to Mr Museveni; sometimes they end up drying up at the subcounty. Or because Mr Museveni will not pay back, he doesn’t care.we are now studying if the best way will be to turn this program into a revolving fund.”

Museveni noted that government is spending close to 400billion shillings per year on supply of inputs under OWC.

Wadri sam Nyakua, chairman arua district took the occasion to draw the attension of the president on the development challenges in the region

Among them he requested the president to donate a bus to Onduparaka footbol club which is now a uniting factor in WestNile and the greater northern Uganda

The minister of state for land housing and urban development Betty amongi said her ministry has already been directed by the president to immediately start some of the capital infrastructure development works in Arua municipality

This includes road sections in the municipality, constructing the drainage line and fixing street lights on the roads

Museveni encouraged the people of WestNile, to specialize in large scale commercial agriculture to increase household income.

He noted that the production sector across Uganda has been affected by the increasing cases of land fragmentation, which affects the scale of production.
