Hundreds of Catholic Christians gathered at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church to bid farewell to their former parish priest.

Rev Fr James Michael Ebong who was the parish priest of Dokolo Catholic Parish and was transferred to Kinyamasika Major Seminary has been replaced by Rev Fr Moses Otom as the new Paris Priest.

The colorful ceremony which started with a holy mass led by the outgoing parish priest was later followed by a farewell party that saw speakers after speakers singing praises to him.

The same speakers implored the new parish priest to emulate his predecessor so that Dokolo Paris continues to develop.

While addressing the gathering Fr. James tasked the Christians to render all the necessary support to his successor, pledging to continue supporting the parish when need arises.

Meanwhile Fr. Moses Otom who succeeded Fr. James Michael promised to do more for the parish as the later had done.

As a sign of appreciation, the Christians gifted the two priests with items like a cow for the outgoing priest, goats, chicken, foodstuffs and others.

In attendance at the ceremony were Christians from the entire Parish, those from outside the parish, cultural leaders, business communities and political leaders led by the Dokolo South Parliamentary representative Hon. Paul Amoru Omiat. End.
