Gulu High Court has received an additional judge. Justice Isaac Muwata worked formally as chief registrar of Kampala High Court.

Muwata has officially reported for his duty.  He was received by the grade-one magistrate, Vian Kwezira who is acting as chief magistrate and acting assistant registrar of Gulu. Kwezira said, Muwata is going to substitute Justice Stephen Mubiru who is on assignment by Principle Judge to hand criminal sessions in Kampala as of now. He also added that, the appointment of Muwata as a second judge is a great blessing to the people of Gulu because more services shall be delivered by the judicial system of Gulu. He urged people who have filed cases in court and advocates to set their witnesses ready as serious work is going to be conducted by Gulu High Court.

Muwata’s appointment and deployment was announced early December 2019 by the president.  End.
