KOBOKO: The members of Koboko District Taskforce have come under pressure to provide food for around 32 cases who have tested positive with Covid 19, after it emerged during the District Taskforce meeting that, some of the patients at the Corona Treatment Unit established in the District General Hospital are in dire need after spending a long period of time without food.
Roseline Ocokoru, who represented the Health officer during the Taskforce meeting told the members that, there is need to treat the matter with the most urgency it deserves to contain the situation.
According to the District Chairperson Nyinya Hassan Saidi, the situation has come at a time when the District Taskforce is financially handicap, calling for the intervention of the Development Partners to address the matter.
Koboko District Secretary for Production Isaac Todoko has recommended that, Members of the District Executive Committee adopt proactive strategies to help feed the patients at the Corona Treatment Centre.
The Corona Virus Taskforce Chairperson of Koboko District RDC Captain Yahaya Kakooza says, the trend of infection requires personal protection on the side of an individual.
Reports from the Taskforce of Koboko District indicates that, at least half of those who tested positive to Covid 19 and are receiving Treatment at Koboko District Corona treatment Centre are Health Workers. End
