KOBOKO: A Covid 19 Positive Patient admitted at Koboko General Hospital treatment Centre has escaped over the alarming living conditions in the treatment facility.

Roseline Ocokoru who represented the District Health officer during the Taskforce meeting told the members of Koboko District Taskforce that, the current situation in the Corona Treatment Centre is so critical that urgent intervention by relevant authorities is desired to address them.

Koboko District Chairperson Hassan Saidi Nyinga has said, the current state of affairs in the District regarding the infections rates by Covid 19 requires collective efforts from all the stake holders to decisively address the matter.

Madam Layo Sarah Awilo an employee of World Health Organization attached to Arua Regional Referral Hospital has called on the local population to observe the standard Operation Procedures set by the Ministry of Health to contain the spread of Covid 19.

The medical Superintendent of Koboko General Hospital Dr. Nobert Kaggwa has pushed for the efforts of the District leadership so as to address the series of gaps within the treatment Centre.

The fact that the contacts of the Patients who tested Positive to Corona Virus in the District has not been traced still poses a great health risk to a huge local population in the Community. End
