The Bishop of Arua Diocese, Sabino Odoki , has pardoned four priests who were not in full ministry in the diocese.

The priests are Rev. Fr. Cyril Adiga,  Rev. Fr. Casto Amudra, Rev. Father George Ezatirale and Rev. Fr. Ceaser Dralega.

Bishop Odoki says his door is always open to receive who ever wants to come and resume the ministry.

The pardon came during a special meeting  at Christus center witnessed by the archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese John Baptist Odama, Bishop Ordinary of Lira diocese Santus Lino wanok among other prelates on the Monday  9th of November in Arua city.

Since 2017, the priests have been requesting the diocesan tribunal and the church for a pardon.

Before the reconciliation Eight priests in the diocese were not in full ministry with four of them  suspended while the remaining four were not.

Rev. Fr. Pius Yobuta the head of the priest Association in Arua Diocese has asked the Christians to welcome the priests saying since they had been forgiven by the Church.

Tonny Drazu an executive member of Pokea Seminary Old Students Association PoSOSA  that initiated this process says the journey has not been easy.

Some of the Priests have already been appointed to serve in the Parishes, while others are waiting for their appointments. The suspensions have been lifted unconditionally. End
