Small and Medium business Enterprises in Arua district have been challenged to pay their taxes in time.

Uganda revenue authority URA has reminded business vendors in Arua town on their roles to pay taxes.This is because very few people know their obligations of paying taxes.

According to Vincent Nandudu, URA head in Arua, they use data from of the national identity cards to track people to pay tax.

Many of the vendors complain of brutal ways of URA while executing their duties.

According to URA, all businesses with gross turnover of 50 -150 million shillings need to register for value added tax as required by the income tax act. End
