Educationists in Moyo District are urging parents to give Primary Seven candidates ample time to read their notes and provide the necessary scholastic requirements as the Primary Leaving Examinations, PLE, draws closer.
The educationists say early preparation, combined with proper guidance and support from parents, can help candidates perform well in the examinations at the end of the year.
Mawadri Angelos, the Head Teacher of Homing Dove Primary School in Moyo, calls upon parents to provide scholastic requirements for candidates early and maintain peace at home to create a conducive environment for revision.
“Parents have a lot to do because for a child to perform well in his or her examinations, there must be peace at home. Parents must remain peaceful and really embrace the element of peace in the family.
“They must also play their role in providing scholastic materials and what is expected for these children to be in school. They must also give adequate time to the learners.’’ Mawadri noted
Meanwhile, Amaniku Job, the Head Teacher of Moyo Town Kindergarten, Nursery and Primary School, urges both learners and parents to take the third term seriously and focus on revision to achieve better results.
“As this is the last term of the academic year, especially for my dear candidates who are in Primary Seven, we do not really have enough time now.
We should take into account that we are only left with two weeks. We need to be serious with our books, and time also needs to be given from home.
Parents should at least understand that this is now the critical time for the learners to be serious with their books”. Job emphasized
Educationists say with the right guidance, structured study plans and regular practice, early preparation can help candidates improve their chances of achieving better results in the PLE examinations.
