SHS1.4 BILLION MARKET COMMISSIONED IN MADI OKOLLO

Madi Okollo district has commissioned shs 1.4billion Ayavu Market in Inde Town Council.
The district chairperson Drabe Ismail on September 25, 2024 presided over the occasion.
The market construction commenced in July 2022 and was completed in April 2024. The Shs 1.4 billion market was constructed by KG Adubango Construction and Engineering Works.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony on Wednesday, Mr Ismail Drabe urged the excited vendors and communities who were eager to receive their new market to engage in commercial agriculture in order to benefit from the market.
Meanwhile, the Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Nawoya Bruno commended the government of Uganda for the multi-billion market project. He advised the communities to embrace development.
The Town Clerk Inde Town council Mr Kenneth Arubaku highlighted that the market will boost their local revenue collection.
The district has constructed two multi-billion markets under USMID project worth over 3 billion shillings.
