The 4th Division Commander, Brig. Gen. Felix Busizoori has announced plans for the construction of multibillion-shilling Housing Units for the Soldiers.
Brig Busizoori revealed this during the recent retirement Ceremony held at the UPDF 4th Infantry Division barracks in Gulu City.
“Already most of the headquarters now have very good housing facilities, recently the CDF told us that he has secured 50 billion shillings for the construction of the housing units for the soldiers and each unit will have 3 bedrooms, one sitting room, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, we expect that the construction will begin soon because we have already submitted our plan to the headquarters, so if our plan is approved, we shall start the construction,” Busizoori remarked.
He added that they will use the prioritization method to give the houses to the soldiers by looking at who did not benefit from the last phase since the 50 billion shillings is not enough to cater for the whole UPDF and the construction will be done in phases.
