BISHOP ODOKI ELEVATES ST .KIZITO LOGOBA EUCHARISTIC CENTER TO A FULL PARISH

The Bishop Ordinary of Arua diocese Rt. Rev Sabino Ocan Odoki has elevated st.kizito Logoba chapel under moyo vicariate into a full parish.
Earlier this year, on 25 January 2024, the chapel was elevated by the Bishop into a Eucharistic centre.
The decree of elevating the chapel was announced by the Bishop on December 15, 2024 during the celebrations to mark one hundred years anniversary of the church.
In his announcement, the bishop stated that the parish will consist of five chapels namely, st kizito logoba centre, st Andrews Apostle kendi chapel, st .Daniel comboni Afoji chapel ,st Paul Wano chapel and St Marys Itia chapel.
‘‘The parish has the privilege to reserve the Blessed Sacrament, possess a baptismal font, and to administer sacraments it has rights proper to a parish, now following this decree, pastoral council and finance committee shall be elected for the new parish, the chapels under the new parish shall unite and work for its development, the chapels under the new parish shall no longer depend on the mother parish of Moyo, more chapels or prayer center shall be created in discretion of the parish priest as the need shall arise ,’’the decree read in part.
In the same event the bishop also appointed Rev Father Drichi Emmanuel as the parish priest and also installed.
Rev Father Drichi Emmanuel who is the first parish priest of St. Kizito logoba chapel following his appointment, expressed gratitude to almighty God for the opportunity to be a shepherd of the new parish calling for unity and collaboration from the Christians towards the development of the church.
‘‘My humble prayer to God is that He brings unity and increase our faith so that we work in collaboration with the vibrant community, we shall together work to build the kingdom of God, this is 100 years celebration but it has come at a time when we should own the church ,’he rev father said.
Mr Bada Emmanuel one the parishioner of st.kizito logoba chapel remarked that this will increase on the development of faith of the Christians.
‘‘I must say it is a double celebration because earlier this year in January we were given Eucharistic status and before the year concluded we were given full parish, “he pointed.
