ST. MARY’S CHAPEL IN TEKULU NEEDS SHS40M TO COMPLETE FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel Tekulu, in Minakulu Bobi Parish in Gulu Archdiocese is seeking for over 40 million UGX to finish the construction which is near completion.
The remaining work includes finishings such as installing doors, windows, and plastering.
On Sunday, 23 March 2025, Peter Okot the Member of Parliament for Tochi County contributed 380,000 UGX toward the chapel’s completion.
Now, the chapel’s construction committee is actively rallying support from the community and beyond.
Bosco Grace Onyao, the catechist of St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel expressed gratitude for Okot’s contribution and urged other well-wishers to assist in completing the chapel’s construction.
“We are deeply grateful for MP Peter Okot’s generous contribution. I urge other well-wishers to join hands in helping us complete the project.” Onyao said.
Allan Owira, the LC3 Councillor of Tekulu Parish and a Christian of St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, commended MP Peter Okot for his consistent contributions to the chapel’s construction since 2016.
He further pledged to engage with other leaders and lobby for their support to help complete the project.
“I pledge to reach out to other leaders and lobby for their support to see this project completed,”Owira noted.
On his part, Santo Okello, the chairperson of the church’s construction committee said Christians should elect leaders who prioritize the needs of voters, citing MP Peter Okot as an example.
Meanwhile, Christ Woo, an aspirant for the Aremo Sub- County seat in the Omoro District Local Government Council, who delivered MP Okot’s donation, emphasized the importance of unity and development.
Together, we can achieve unity and work toward a brighter future for our community,” he emphasized.
