Thousands of football fans thronged Betway Green Light Stadium Onduparaka to witness the Uganda cup final played between Paidha Black Angels and Kampala City Council Authority KCCA.

It never went well for the Paidha Black Angels because they were beaten by visiting team KCCA 0 – 2.

Geoffrey Serunkuma scored the first goal for KCCA 10 minutes in first half and in second half Derrick Nsimbambi added the second goal for KCCA and that qualified them to be crowned the champions of Uganda cup 2016/2017.

Lataa Kemis the head coach Paidha Black Angels says his boys lost focus that is why they were beaten.

Okot the team captain KCCA says Paidha Black Angel needs to iron out their areas of weaknesses in order for them to take Uganda Cup and other tournaments that are played in the country.

Mike mutebi the head coach KCCA says he is happy because they have managed to take again Uganda cup after taking Uganda azam premier league.

Hon. Atiko Benard the chairperson West Nile Parliamentary Committee says as members of parliament hailing from West Nile they are going to give support of about US 200 dollar  to help Paidha Black Angels go and play confederation of African football outside the country.

Minister for Northern Uganda Hon. Grace Freedom Kwiyocwiny who is the patron of Paidha Black Angels urges people never to give up in supporting the team and other teams that are doing well in West Nile region.

Maurice Bukenya of KCCA was awarded as the best player of the season while Emmanuel Rubanagakene of Paidha Black Angels is the best goal keeper of the season.

Radio Pacis was awarded by the FUFA as the best radio station for broadcasting sports activities in Uganda , Daily monitor was recognized as the best print media, Bukedde TV was awarded as the best TV station. End
