The contractor for the new Moyo district local government headquarters has officially handed over the site to the district stakeholders upon the completion of the construction works.

During the technical handover of the site to the district, Eng. kirebu Faisal the project manager standard Signs contractors limited attributed the success to team work reminding the officials to take responsibilities and ensure security of the place.

‘‘For me what I can say is the team work has made us come this far   of the many challenges encountered the structure is now standing, what I will emphasize is that today it is your work I did my own and as I hand over the keys there are responsibilities am not only giving you the building but a responsibilities since there is no fence in the place, ’he remarked.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bony Ongom the director standard signs contractors limited appreciated the district for entrusting the company with this project that has now been completed.

‘‘I must first of all thank for the opportunity you gave us to demonstrate our potential to us, the journey started way long in 2023 in January and today we celebrate being under this roof to handover the house to you which key sets of responsibilities especially taking care of the assets, utilities and provision of security and their facilitation,’’ he explained

Mr. Bony Ongom promised the district leadership that the areas identified by the engineer to be rectified will be taken care of in the period of time stipulated.

Mr. mawa Bashir The chairperson community management committee applauded the contractor for the commitment and resilience exhibited during the project  ‘‘There are two things basically that I would want to talk about, one is the resilience of the contractor, I appreciate the kind of attitude of contactor and the workers had towards the work in delivering the project, ’he lamented.

Mr. Vuciri Geoffrey The deputy chief administrative officer Moyo district local government said that the project cost 3.2 billion shillings adding that the value for money has been achieved in the project appreciating the CPMC team for managing the funds properly.

Mr. Julius Nyerere The assistant resident district commissioner Moyo, assured the contractor of maximum security for the structure, ‘‘I want to thank the whole procurement committee for identifying the best contractor and the district engineer for the constant supervisor, value for Moyo is seen even with ordinary eyes, it’s now upon the district to sustain the structure in good shape, and on the issue of security we shall ensue that the security is redeployed at the site’’, he noted.
