MONSIGNOR KASTO ADETI URGES CHRISTIANS TO PROTECT CHURCH LAND BY KEEPING IT BUSY

The Vicar General of Arua diocese Monsignor Kasto Adeti has called upon Christians of Lima catholic parish to make proper use of the available land in order to support the priests and also develop the church.
 
The Vicar made the call on Tuesday September 10, 2024 at the parish centre while administering the sacrament of confirmation.
 
In his message he appealed to Christians in Lima to use the land well in order to support the priests, "Make use of the available land so as to support the priests and also support church projects in the parish,” he noted.
 
Adeti said Christians today have become enemies of church, " as land has become one of the most demanding resource, I want to warn some Christians who have become enemies of the church and want to grab church land and this should not happen in Lima catholic parish, God has given all the resources free so we should not fight over the resources that given to church." he cautioned.

Lugunu Peter an elder in Lima catholic parish applauds the vicar general for coming to Lima and assured him of the abundant land that the parish has and testifies how the land is being used by catholic workers movement.

"As an elder in Lima and chair catholic workers movement, we have planted eucalyptus trees of about 5 hectares which shall bring income for the diocese, parish and also construction works of the parish,” he explained.

Abayi Moses parish finance chairperson in his communication commends the Bishop of Arua diocese for putting Lima at heart. “I want to thank the office of bishop of Arua diocese for putting Lima at heart as he has accepted to come to Lima catholic parish twice, that is at Lima parish centre and Ondoga chapel for the Same sacrament of confirmation as this promotes growth of faith in the parish as Lima has a big population of Christians," Abayi remarked.

Parish priest of Lima father Modesto Etrima thanks vicar general for honoring their invitation of giving sacrament of confirmation and urges the young Christians to grow in faith by praying daily, joining associations in the church and support church programs.
