ACTING ARUA DHO PAUL BISHOP DRILEBA BURIED AMID DEMAND FOR JUSTICE

The family of the slain acting Arua district health officer Paul Bishop Drileba has called on the authorities in Arua and West Nile to ensure justice for the family after being gruesomely murdered by a group of mob in Oyeku village Ombokoro parish Ajia Sub County in Arua district on Saturday.
Paul Bishop Drileba was murdered as he went with a team of seven people including his lawyer, surveyor and some casual laborers to demarcate a land he acquired in the area recently.
speaking to the mourners during the send-off of this late brother in Vurra sub county on Wednesday, Rev. Can. Patrick Acema the elder brother of the late condemned the gruesome murder of his brother by the people whom he served diligently making equal to a thief.
Rev. Can. Patrick however assured that the family has forgiven the perpetrators who took his brother's life but demands justice for the family in order to end land murders in the district and the region.
“We are not going to curse God by holding a grudge against the people, but we want justice, that is our prayer, that is our cry, justice to be done for our brother,” Rev. Acema demanded.

Equally Madi West Nile diocese Bishop Rt. Rev. Charles Collins Andaku condemns the brutality that led to the death of Dr. Paul Bishop Drileba by his own community and tasks the authority to accord justice to the family.
“The government should take keen interest in this barbaric, uncivilized and uncalled for act, the diocese condemns murder, commandment number six also condemns murder saying you shall not kill, I pray that the law takes its course, they need to confess before God’s wrath comes upon them, because if Gods wrath comes, it goes from generations to generations to generations,” Bishop Andaku warned.

Born on July 17th 1969, late Paul Bishop Drileba died on November 23rd 2024 and he is survived by three children and a widow.
