ALUR KING CALLS FOR UNITY, HARD WORK AND DEVELOPMENT IN 2025

Alur King His Majesty Ubimu Phillip Rauni Ularker III, has appealed to all Alur subjects to love and portray the positive aspects of the long, rich and deep Alur culture and tradition wherever they live in order to be exemplary to other people.

In a press release issued by the Kingdom’s Communication Director David Rupiny, Ubimu Rauni III also appeals to his subjects to ensure improvement of the livelihoods of their households and then work collectively to develop the entire Alur land.
On land, Ubimu Rauni III, urges the Alur people to guard their communal land jealously and desist from rampant and unnecessary sale of land.

The King says land is a very important factor of development and each one should use the land productively in order to fight poverty and cause development.

Ubimu Rauni III says each Alur with land should ensure they donate the land to their children and grandchildren just like the ancestors did, warning that any messing with land will lead to landlessness of many in the near future.

On the environment, Ubimu Rauni III, calls on everyone to protect the environment by avoiding harmful acts like burning vegetation, degrading wetlands, cutting trees, polluting the environment, and doing all things that harm the environment and contribute to climate change.

He appeals to all young people to continue engaging in positive and productive activities. He says Alur Kingdom will continue to engage young people in various sporting and development initiatives.

The Alur King also calls for respect of rights of people, especially of the vulnerables like children, the girl-child, women, and people with disabilities, the elderly, and other marginalized groups.

He also emphasizes the need to promote the education and development of young people, especially the girl-child.
Ubimu Rauni III commiserates with all those who lost their dear ones in the course of this year and says he stands with all those who are going through different life’s challenges.

The King concluded his broadcast by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2025.
