The Muslim leadership in Arua is cautioning parents against irresponsible parenting during the ester season.
While delivering his Easter message during an interview with Radio Pacis, Abdul-Aziz Qaasim Amin Alkury, the Deputy District Khadi, Arua Muslim district says that, many parents under look what their children especially students get involved in during such festivities and yet at the end of it all, their actions become costly to their future and education.
“Our children are still in school. They will come home for a short break ang go back. Let us not use the three or so days that they are going to be home to spoil what the teachers have sacrificed in a long period of time. Let us use the children and take care of them carefully until they go back to school,” he cautioned.
According to the khadi, as the celebrations are held, it’s important that Christians celebrate the seasons of Easter as per the recommendations of the church teachings.
“We wish all our dear brothers and sisters in Christianity a successful conclusion of their season of fasting (Lent). We also ask the almighty Allah to guide them through it. We ask the almighty Allah to give them Hidayah (Divine guidance) and show them the rightful way so that they celebrate in a decent, a peaceful and humble manner,” he said while passing out his message.
The climax of Easter celebration comes on Easter Sunday which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death.
