The one day event commenced vividly in the morning though a good number of schools both private and government aided failed to show up.

Sylvester Atibuni, the chairperson for music dance and drama in Ayivu division says, it’s a very important component of learning which should be considered highly by all the school,

Eunice Avuru, the music dance and drama coordinator in Ayivu division urges all the schools to give a chance for their learners to identify their potential in music dance and drama by allowing them participate in the festivals,

“MDD is one of the important activities that rouse the interest of the learners to learn, in MDD, there is no consideration for age like for ball games where they consider the age category, any child from any class can participate, my message to schools that have not participated, particularly to the head teachers is that, they should not deny their children the right to participate in MDD, “Rose emphasized.

“MDD is important, we learned about gender based violence, keeping in school and learning about ending HIV by 2030,they should learn and be part of MDD so that they will learn how to control themselves from HIV, and to learn how to care for their environment, Bint said.
