MOYO GENERAL HOSPITAL GETS NEW BOARD MEMBERS

The newly appointed board management committee members for Moyo general hospital have been sworn- in and taken oath of service and secrecy as they assume the office.
The new board members who were sworn in include; Mr. Mawa Bashir as the board chairperson, MS opiya Florence, Mr. Fred ijjo, Mr. Tino Muhammad, and Mr. Ramaga Guma Moses.
While officiating the swearing in ceremony the deputy chief administrative officer Moyo Mr. Vuciri Geoffrey explained that the board members were selected basing on their level of trust and integrity adding they are expected to drive the hospital in a strategic manner.
‘‘You have been nominated based on the wisdom of the executive committee considering your public integrity, some of you are serving second term and are expected to provide direction to the new board, at least you must change the chair in another direction to improve the board function,” he remarked.
Mr. Bessie Bernard the senior hospital administrator Moyo general hospital congratulated the new board, committing to work hand in hand with the members for the betterment of the facility.
‘‘First of all I want to thank the district chairperson and his executive for exercising the powers and appointing the board and the chief administrative officer for swearing in the members, allow me to congratulate the members and I want to say welcome to moyo hospital, you have succeeded a board that has performed very well and that is a stepping stone for you, as technical people of the hospital, I want to pledge our commitment to ensuring that work in the hospital is done very well and take the hospital to the next level,” said Benard.
Mr .Mawa Bashir the new board chairperson Moyo general hospital called for cooperation among the members for effective deliberation of services in the hospital.
‘‘You know Am one person who emphasizes very much about cooperation and in the effort of cooperation we must forge coordination and that’s my method of work,’’ he pointed.
Mr .Williams Anyama the district chairperson Moyo appreciated the out -going board members for selflessly offering their services during their term in office.
The Roles of a hospital board committee are; to review and approve the annual work plan, budgets and any necessary reallocations within the budget presented by management, oversee the procurement, storage and utilization of all hospital goods and services including essential medicines and health supplies.
