MOYO STAR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM EMERGES THE CHAMPION IN THE INDEPENDENCE CUP 2024

Moyo star high secondary school football team has emerged as the champions of Moyo     District independence Cup 2024 after betting Congo football club 3 goals to 2 on Wednesday evening in Celecelea stadium.

Mindra Roland the chairperson Moyo district football association appealed to the sports lovers to support sports activities financially. ”We are privileged that the minister is always there to support us, we know that every time we knock at her door, she is always positive. We are privileged that she is there for us and she has been there for us” Mindra pointed.

Mindra called the entire football fraternity to join hands in supporting the building of the stadium which in turn will allow the clubs get some monies to help their team in that even a gate collection of 500 shillings can still help the team.        

Meanwhile Edema Wilson the district sports officer appreciated Moyo Star high school for nurturing the young talents saying his vision is to see to it that, Celecelea stadium is completed. “Moyo star high school football team is made up of young players who are coming to support and develop football in the district. My vision is to see that the stadium construction is completed so that the teams generate their own revenue,” Edema highlighted.

However Gore Coffin the resident district Commissioner urged the entire Moyo community to join hands for the complication of the stadium. “We want to congratulate Moyo football association especially for coordinating the independence cup, this is the best way of celebrating Independence Day. We pray that this Stadium works could also get done,” RDC noted

Gore further disclosed that as government and as district there is need to support the football association and ensure that they are provided with a money making environment out of their sweat. “I want to support the plans to have the stadium financed to help in raising money to support the club” RDC pointed
