Following an alleged altercation at Escape Village Hotel in Moyo Sub county Moyo District, Police have released chandiga Ceaser the local council three chairman of Moyo town council on police bond after spending Easter night in police custody now awaiting trial on charges of alleged assaults and inciting violence at the hotel.
SP Dragudu Ignacious the public relations officer for North West Nile region in preliminary report released reported that, the accused Chandiga Ceaser the local council three chairperson of Moyo town council wanted to blast fireworks at escape village hotel of which the concerned authorities were not aware including the manager, then he was intercepted at the gate immediately leading to altercations between him and the staff which prompted them to call for police.
Dragudu said, “In that interception one employee was assaulted by the chairman then he was arrested and taken to Moyo central police station on Easter Sunday evening and spend the night in the police custody, he was given police bond on Easter Monday late evening where he is supposed to go back to answer the bond”.
He further urged the locals to follow normal procedures if they want to carry out the fireworks in the district since it’s a mandate of IGP to clear such.
Chandiga ceaser the local council three chairperson of Moyo town council when contacted on phone declined to comment on the matter.
