NEW ARUA CITY BODA BODA CHAIR PLEDGES SANITY WITHIN INDUSTRY

Unity has been created in Boda- boda industry in Arua city after majority of stage chairpersons agreed to work together with the former vice chairperson who has now been elevated as the official Chairperson of the boda bodas after the demise of the former Chairperson Mawa Salim in August 2024.
In a meeting organized at the boda boda office in Arua city, the different stage boda- boda chairpersons questioned the appointment of the vice chair to the position of chairperson.
After series of debates the speaker of the boda- boda industry Abdulfalam Ejotre explained the process the executives used to appoint the chairperson.
Ejotre held that, “how our vice chairperson has been pushed to the chair, there are minutes backing that up, there are reasons stated down there as to why we decided to make him our chair instead of following our constitution, so in case of anything the minutes are there.”
With guidance from, the deputy RCC in charge of Arua central, the members later resolved that the chair serves the remaining term of the former until elections are held in May 2026.
Geoffrey Orijabo the chairperson of the team no sleep group urged the chairperson to work in Collaboration with the key security persons to addresses the challenges in the boda- boda industry.
“My boss is the first security and he must always cooperate with the security personnel especially our stakeholders in the security that is RCC’S office, close to CISO, close to DPC plus the rest that is the only way he can get good collaboration between bodaboda and the security personnel so that we improve general security of Arua city,” he urged.
The news chairperson Swadik Amaku pledged to continuously organize and bring sanity in the bodaboda industry of Arua city.
He stated that, “Member’s unanimously agreed today that swadik after two weeks we do the refilling, you organize us and now I want to assure you members I will organize a massive refilling of all the staffs and I want to assure you that we are going to make some strong resolution on Boda- bodas.”
This unity among the boda boda leadership is expected to bring organization in the industry and promote peace and security in Arua city.
