NURSES AND MIDWIVES EXAMINATION PROGRESS WELL IN ARUA

Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examination Board (UNMEB) are progressing smoothly in Arua. The examinations that kicked off on Monday is set to end on Friday December 13, 2024.
The principle of Kuluva School of nursing and midwifery Monica Driciru Efia says that a total of 499 certificate and diploma are under taking these examinations.
“Diploma in nursing extension and diploma in midwifery extension the total is 97 for certificate in nursing the total is 306, certificate in midwifery the number is 96 the last examinations the total number 363 and this time the total is 499 marking an increment.”
The principal Arua School of comprehensive nursing Dranimva Nickson reveals that the examinations covers both the finalist and the continuing students.
“We have two categories of students sitting these examinations we have the finalist who are finishing the course we have 105 who are sitting both certificate and diploma then we have 717 continuing students giving a total of 822 this examinations is to access the progress of the learner whether to proceed to the next semester or to continue with this current semester.”
Linda Oyeru one of the students doing diploma in midwifery extension at Arua School of comprehensive nursing shares her experience after writing three papers.
“We started on Tuesday with paper one that is midwifery three so paper two was paediatrics two then our paper three was health service management and entrepreneurship so paper four will be practicles the papers where fair not so hard though some of them where asking for the things in the field and all went well.”
Whereas some students have sat for already three paper some of them are yet to write their first exam.
Stella Ombaya a diploma student doing extension in nursing expresses her readiness for writing her first exam on Thursday.
“We are yet to do our exams so we are well prepared for the exams our lectures have done their part, we have done revision work and we hope to do our best.”
The examinations will run for two weeks where the first week will be for practices while the second week will be for practical papers running from the 2nd of December to the 13th.
