PARENTS URGED TO SUPPORT CHILDREN STAY IN SCHOOL

Stakeholders in Moyo district have urged parent to support and ensure their children stay in school. This follows the 19th St. Andrews’s college day recently held at the college promises.
The Hon. Minister of State for Primary Education Moriku Joyce Kaducu who was the guest of honor appreciated the parents for their tireless effort and asked them to keep their children in school. “We are grateful for your commitment and ensuring that the children are at school. The best gift you can give them is education. Thank you for paying school fees and ensuring they are at school and thank you for the good morals, ethics and integrity you have imparted in their lives.”
While, the PTA chairman, Mr. Araku Bazil praised the parents for their commitment towards the school and treasuring the gift of education. “I would like to thank the parents of this mighty college for your commitment to the college, what we need to have at the back of our minds is treasuring the gift of education, without education our society is doomed,” Mr. Araku appreciated.
The BOG chairman, Rev. Fr. Grace Waigo however stated that despite all the efforts put in place, the success of the students entirely depended on them. “We can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents and none of it will make a difference unless you students fulfill your responsibilities, the hard work it takes to succeed.” Rev. Fr. Waigo stated.
Prof. Andrew Kiri the proprietor of the school applauded stakeholders for supporting the school, “Understanding our chemistry, understanding our science, understanding what we do with science how we solve human problems with science is very critical, it’s a turning point.” Prof. Andrew said.
The college celebrated their 19th year under the theme, “setting the phase for holistic education in competency based curriculum”
St Andrews College Moyo is a privately own school in Moyo district that was started in 2003.
