PARTNERS COMMEND RADIO PACIS FOR TRANSFORMING LIVES AT BREAKFAST MEETING

Arua Diocese Media Center Radio Pacis has been applauded by leaders and partners for continuous transformation of lives during the second edition of Annual Radio Pacis Breakfast Meeting held at Royal Crane Resort in Arua City on Wednesday (February 12, 2025)
 
Silver Pariyo the Public Relations and Marketing manager at Radio Pacis explained the reason of organization the annual breakfast meeting.
 
“This meeting is all about building stronger relationships, sharing exciting products at Radio Pacis, at your various work places as well as in the various organizations and the business we do while we explore new opportunities with all of you,” he said. 
 
Hon Alfred Okuonzi the district chairman of Arua applauds Radio Pacis for simplifying the work they do as leaders.
 
“The population in the region is very big for example Arua district which has 160,000 people which me as the district chairman, chief administrative officer, resident district commissioner and other leaders cannot reach to all but Radio Pacis has been supporting us to reach to the people to execute our mandate as leaders and services to the people in the communities,” he commended.
 
Yusuf Andabati the communications person of West Nile Civil Society Network and former staff of Radio Pacis praised Radio Pacis for transforming the livelihoods of the communities in West Nile Region.
 
“My own assessment of radio Pacis is in various ways, one of which is that radio Pacis has the programs that takes the radio to the communities and vice versa, some of these programs like community dialogue and the people’s voice takes the radio to the people instead of people coming to the radio,” he said.
 
Christine Amaniyo who works with health rights Uganda recommends Radio Pacis for giving platform to the voiceless community members to raise their issues to the concerned authorities.
 
“I would like to appreciate radio Pacis for reaching down to the communities and making the voiceless in the communities to have voice on air through community dialogues especially women who are able to share the issues pressing them,” she said.
 
First established in 2004, Radio Pacis has continued to grow and expand, now covering the entire Northern Uganda, with its four frequencies employing over 130 people.

It broadcasts on 90.9 FM targeting Lugbara speaking people, 94.5 FM targeting Alur and Kakwa speakers, 104.8 FM targeting madi and Arabic speakers and 101.8 FM in Gulu broadcasting in Acholi targeting the Luo population in Northern Uganda.

All the frequencies also cater for people who do not understand the local languages through some of its English programs.
