ST KIZITO BURA PARISH SEEKS MORE THAN SHS. 150 MILLION FOR CHURCH CONSTRUCTION

Christians of St. Kizito Bura chapel in Oluvu Parish Arua Diocese have organized a grand fundraising to collect Uganda shillings 182,561,800 to construct a church at the chapel on November 10, 2024.
 
Lazarus Ocogoa a Christian said they face a lot of challenges during rainy season where few Christians come for the prayers and sometimes the program for the prayers may be affected.
 
According to Lazarus, many children and the women with babies fear to come for Sunday services when the weather changes.
 
Pascal Acidri the central organizing committee chairperson of the fundraising revealed that a foundation of the structure has been raised at a tune of 20m and the balance of 162,561,800 is what was expected from the fundraising to complete the works.
 
Rev father Fred Kazozi expressed happiness over the contributions made by the chapels under this parish stating that it's a clear sign of unity and cooperation among the Christians.
 
Obeta Moses Drakua, the guest of honour explained that it's through commitment and sacrifice that such developments can take place, he however appealed to the finance committees of the chapel not to mismanage the funds collected from the Christians.
