Residents of Besia Cell and Adua Village in Moyo district are crying to the Lower local government to come to their rescue to arrest the roaming stray animals that have become another disaster destroying their produce in gardens.

A resident of Adua village in Moyo Sub County spoke on anonymity called for intervention from the LC ones as majority of the people have removed ropes from their animals.

“LCs should put much effort on people who are living their animals to move up and down destroying people’s properties by arresting the animals and they should be taken to the animal holding grounds in Moyo sub County and Town council,” she noted.

Eriku John DK the LC one chairperson of Besia Cell said his office has registered several complains from the community about the rooming stray animals as he confirmed that they are going to carry operation as soon as possible.

“Most famers now complain, we told them to collect their animals but they complain about pasture but some of these animals are not within my village they are coming from the nearby by villages,” John noted.

He added they have a plan to inform all the farmers to gather their animals before they carry their operations.

Meanwhile Maiku Ipe Frank the LC one chairperson of central one cell in Moyo town council said carrying operation needs a joint effort.

“A single person cannot arrest a goat, it needs mobilization and the mobilization needs money, first of all you need to buy the rope and you need to get the man power,” Frank pointed.

To Alex Magasha a field Agronomist with happy viva limited, it’s each and every one’s responsibility.

Whereas John Ise the chairperson Moyo district farmers association pointed weakness from the LC ones.

“There is weakness with the LCs even coming to harmonize it’s very hard” John state.
