The police in Adjumani have swiftly swung in action arresting three suspects following the New Year 2018, murder of a young man whose body was yesterday identified by his relatives from Adjumani general hospital mortuary.

According to Adupa Vincent the officer in charge Adjumani central police station the decomposing body of Amadra John alias Agwe, 36 years old, and a resident of Mokolo East village in Adropi Sub County was found in a bush January 1, 2018, in Odrueyi village in Adjumani town.

The three suspects have been arrested. The police identified them as Adrani Charles, Amura Goodwill and Adrawa Michael; all residents of Biyaya village, Adjumani town who have detained at Adjumani central police station.

They are assisting the police with investigations, while others are still at large.

Upon interrogations the suspects claimed the deceased attempted to steal a cow from the kraal of one identified as Oboma in Odrueyi village.

The police have already charged the trio suspects with a capital offence of murder, as investigation into the murder continue.

Under the current laws of Uganda the offence of murder carries a maximum sentence of death upon conviction in a high court.

The late Amadra John  is survived by four children, his remains was laid to rest in Mokolo East village Adropi sub county today amid pronouncements of deadly curses by elders, so that the spirit of late Amadra John haunts his killers for generations. End.
