There was excitement at St Peter Claver Aripea parish as the Bishop of Arua Diocese Sabino Odoki visited the parish after 3years on Sunday 27th January 2019 during a confirmation ceremony.
The Parish Priest of Aripea Fr. Tonino Pasolini stressed since he arrived in the parish there have been no major problems.
He says the Christians welcomed him and Sherry Meyer with great love and that the catechists have been very helpful.
The zone leader of Aripea Saverio Osoa requested for a curate who will reside at the parish Centre because there is still a lot of work to be done in the parish.
Hon Moses Angundru the area Member of Parliament Terego west applauded the catechists for keeping the catholic faith in Aripea parish.
Bishop Sabino Odoki says he has already forgiven Christians whose actions led to the closure of Aripea parish.
“Let us begin to count our blessings; today you have counted one Fr. Tonino how about the rest? You also have wonderful catechists. We have already forgiven you and those who did what they did” he said.
Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki confirmed over 117 candidates. End
