Parents have been urged not to choose vocations for their children, but rather guide them in pursuing their calling. Most times parents force or select vocations for their children which makes them unhappy.

This call was made by the bishop ordinary of Arua dioceses his lordship Sabino Ocan Odoki during a Eucharistic celebration on 20^th 09 2023 to confirm 30 pupils of Uganda Kids ev Nursery and Primary school and blessing of over 60 candidates for the forth coming Primary Leaving examination PLE 2023.

“Pray and seek God’s guidance on which vocation to undertake such that your life is complete and not wasted, do not minimize any sort of vocation as long as it contributes to human livelihood, think of vocations like Priesthood, nuns, cleaners, farmers, engineers, doctors, nurses as some of the selling vocations,” the bishop advised.

The bishop also thanked the administration of the school for instilling Christian values and building strong foundation for the children pointing that a strong Christian foundation is very important and that children without God have no future.

The bishop in his homely called upon all Christians in the diocese to pray for him for his 40 years in priesthood. Bishop Odoki celebrated his fortieth year in priest hood on the 14/09/2023. He was ordained as a priest on 10/09/1983.
