As issues concerning mismanagement of funds mostly by school heads keep on mounting in Terego district, head teachers who are involved in embezzling school funds have been warned to desist from the act or else, they will be deleted from the payroll. This pronouncement was made in one of the district council sittings held at the district Headquarters.

The LC 5 chairman Terego district Hon Wilfred Saka said that, the district is facing big challenges with school head teachers over the matter. "A good number of head teachers are mismanaging our small money given to schools. And there are already schools that are highlighted like Tuku, Tumvea and Yoro. As leaders, let us demolish some of these head teachers," said Wilfred.

Meanwhile, the assistant chief Administrative officer Mrs. Olema Annet noted that, the plan is to make people satisfied of the services rendered to them. "The purpose is to ensure that, if the population is complaining, we need to bring transformation. Such that, people who are getting services are happy," said Annet.

However, the state minister for lands, housing and urban development Hon. Obiga Mario Kania, who is also the area member of parliament for Terego East Constituency asked the district leadership to continuously monitor funds given to various sectors in the district. "It should be a continuous process where we monitor our money every day where it goes," noted Mario.

Hon Obiga Mario Kania, the State Minister for Lands is appealing to leaders to monitor funds.

Section 28 of education act as amended in 2008 states that, a head teacher or any other person who involves him or herself in mismanaging school fund will be banned from the system.
