EC NOMINATES SIX CANDIDATES FOR DOKOLO DISTRICT WOMAN MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT`S BYELECTION

Dokolo district returning officer has successfully nominated six candidates for the forthcoming Dokolo District woman member of parliament`s byelection slated for the 21st of this month. 

Dokolo District returning officer Steven Erikaine Ngobi started the nomination exercise at 8am and by 4pm all the six candidates were already nominated.

Ms Janet Adongo Elau, NRM flag bearer was the first to be nominated followed by Dr Rosemary Austin Alwoc of FDC, Ms Sarah Aguti Nyangkori of UPC, Dr Esther Akullu Obot, an independent candidate, Ms Harriet Ageno of NUP and Dr Grace Lalam Atine, an independent candidate.

Meanwhile Dr Grace Lalam Atine says that she will fight for the improvement of road infrastructure, electricity and health.

Sarah Aguti Nyangkori of UPC party, believes that she is the best candidate to represent Dokolo people since she lives with them.

According to the electoral commission by election road map, the polling date is scheduled for the 21 March 2024.
