Women in Gulu city have been advised to always perform their duties as mothers. The advice was made by Gulu city council authorities during the belated celebration of the International Women day at Kaunda grounds in Gulu City.

This happened on the march 13, 2024 under the theme ‘’invest in women for Economic growth’’.

Jane Okili, the Resident City Commissioner Gulu who was the Chief Guest at the event asked the women to always respect their husband no matter how they are. ‘’the most important thing today is how are we taking the power they have given us. Let’s do our task, love one another, and give respect to your husband no matter the way he is.’’ Okili said.
