Terego district outgoing Chief Administrative Officer. Otim Benson Humphrey has handed over office to the incoming Chief Administrative Officer Moses Echat.
 
Benson has been transferred to Obongi district local government one month ago handed over office to Moses Echat who is from Bulambuli district.
 
Speaking during the handover ceremony held at the district headquarters, Benson thanked both civil servants and political leaders for the love and support rendered to him while serving the district for the period of two years and six months.
 
He however asked his successor to address the issue of staffing gap which is still a big challenge in the district. “We are at 60% but we still want more and what remains as the biggest challenge is the increment and the actual service delivery.”said Benson.
 
Meanwhile, Moses Echat, the incoming Chief Administrative Officer called for teamwork in order to serve the communities better. “We are sent by God to serve and that’s our task and responsibility. Let our goal be service delivery to the people of Terego,” noted Moses.
 
The district chairperson for Terego district Hon Saka Wilfred lauded Benson for his commitment and hard work in the district. He however advised the new CAO to work as a team with his executive members especially on the issue of salary for civil servants.
 
Festus Ayikobua, the Terego Resident District Commissioner, commended Benson for improving service delivery in the district. While welcoming the new CAO, Ayikobua appealed to him to work with all stakeholders to achieve the district’s mission and vision. “Our mission should be to help the people in the district but let’s work in unity,”   Festus appealed.
 
Equally, Hon Obiga Mario Kania, the area Member of Parliament for Terego East Constituency urged the new CAO to first identify developmental areas before other things come in.
֞There are those projects which should be developmental and there are those which will be for workshops, fuel and wages. It is absolutely important that we first go with the priority֙. Said Kania.
 
During the farewell party which was held at the district headquarters, Otim Benson Humphrey received glowing tributes from civil servants, politicians and community members.
