INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING ADJUST TO CENSUS PROTOCOLS

In abide to involve everyone in the forth coming National census ,the Ugandan ministry of  Education, games and sports  ordered all schools and universities  to break off for the national census headcount scheduled to take place  from  9th for to 19th  May 2024.

Higher institutions of learning have adjusted their Academic Calendars to allow the students full participation in the National Census. Godwin Bwambale the principle of Bugema University Arua Campus says, they are have pushed their examinations timetable to Monday 22 April 2024We have already started adjusting on some of the programs like the regular students were supposed to begin exams on 24th of April 2024 but now we have changed to 22nd April and will end on 8th may such that we can leave that gap for census with then the in-service the program will be there but the time will be adjusted. 
  

Andema Augusto the academic registrar Arua Nursery Teachers college, he says   they have made changes in order to allow students to participate in the National census “We were expecting our diploma students to report on 6th of May however, we have adjusted the timetable in such a way that our students  will be leaving on 26th of April then the diploma  will be will reporting on 21st of May and will do their examinations for one week up to 2nd of June.”   

Uganda is set to conduct the National Population and housing Census 2024, starting from the night of 9th May running for 10 days up to the 19th of May 2024.
