The Bishop of Arua catholic diocese, Rt. Rev Sabino Ocan Odoki has challenged youths to observe discipline and work extra hard for a better future. He lauded the efforts of young Christian Society, YCS members in uplifting the moral values of young people.

The Bishop advised youths to desist from sitting by the road sides, but rather venture into productive activities. “Many of our youths waste a lot of time, so I would love this group and I would wish that your YCS groups also continue to grow and be involved in productive and developmental work and to do this, one has to work hard”, he emphasized.

School settings are ideally avenues for academic progress, the acting vice Chancellor Muni University, Professor Simon Anguma urged the students to re-examine themselves and lead a life of purpose. “Your business is reading, you must be disciplined when you’re in school, when you’re a student you must be disciplined, the discipline should focus you to your books, please be focused, and committed”, he remarked.

The diocesan youth chaplain of Arua catholic diocese, Father William Andima appealed to students to treasure the YCS associations by playing active roles to ensure   it grows. “And I would appeal to all the students, please when we are in this movement, let us not be by name, we should not be nominal members, but be active especially in our sections”, he said

Meanwhile the animator for Arua City Federation, Peter Apangu commended the efforts of animators in providing guidelines for the functionality of the YCS associations. ”I want to acknowledge the support of the animators,  without these animators these YCS will not be able to relate well with the administrators, animators play a very big role, I continue to appreciate the work that you do, you’re the bridge between the students and administration”, he noted.

The bishop also used the occasion and confirmed 87 students.
