Bright view primary school emerged the overall winner in the kid’s athletics competitions in Arua city central division with 4421 points, in the second runners up was swalhin primary school with 4225 points and Arua Public primary school in the third position with 3826 points.

The athletics competitions took place on Friday and Saturday last week at Barifa with 30 schools participating.

During the warding ceremony at Arua Public primary school, Geoffrey Etoma the spokesperson of the primary head teachers association in Arua central division says they awarded not only the schools but also the best performers during the kid’s athletics competitions.

“we also made sure that we identified the kids who performed exceedingly well so we identified three kids for each category of U12 and U14 both girls and boys, we would like to have these medals as reflection for these children that wherever they at home, they have to keep that vision and keep the talent that God has given them, we also awarded the head teachers especially the those who performed exceedingly well, we also awarded the best sports teachers for the work well done,” he was quoted as saying.

With only two weeks away from the interzonal competitions, Dickson Lema, the vice general secretary primary head teachers association says the two zones that will represent Arua central division will kick off with trainings immediately

More than 10 zones are expected to participate in the interzonal competitions that will take place at muni primary school in Oluko Dadamu zone.
