Founded in 1983, St Mary’s Ediofe Girls secondary school that started with only 80 students has gradually nurtured a high caliber of professionals across the board.

During celebrations to mark 40 years of existence of the school, the main celebrant his Lordship Rt, Rev Sabino Ocan Odoki, the Bishop ordinary of Arua Catholic Diocese thanked all the stakeholders who have managed to contribute generously for the holistic development of the school. “So I could continue to thank so many people who have contributed for these 40 years, but now let me put it as stakeholders, the government, partners, sponsors and all those who have contributed to the success of this school,OG’S and many others.” he remarked.

The head teacher of the school, Sister Josephine Aciro used the occasion to recognize the excellent performance of last year’s set of candidates. “We are also celebrating the good results of 2022, last year our students did make us proud, we got 59 students in division 1, 91 in division 2, 18 in division 3 and 2 in division 4, and in A Level 18 students got 3 principle passes while 25 got 2 principle passes. With an enrollmentment of over 1000 students, the school also used the chance to launch a fundraising drive for the construction of a girl’s dormitory, meanwhile 85 students received the sacrament of confirmation.
