Minister of Gender, Labour and Social development has launched PDM fund disbursement in Apac district.

A total of 770 million shillings was disbursed to the Parish Development Model beneficiaries in Apac District during the launch of the disbursement exercise officiated by minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Betty Amongi. Amongi warned the beneficiaries against squandering the money on luxuries.
On the repayment on the fund, Amongi said that the beneficiaries will start paying back the money in the third year as instructed by President Yoweri Museveni since they are going to invest the money in farming.

Similarly, the Resident District Commissioner of Apac, George Abdul warned the beneficiaries against the misuse of PDM funds so that it can serve its intended purpose.

Apac Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Paul Mboki says they will make sure that every would-be beneficiary receives the money. Apac District has 34 parishes and so far, 3.5 billion shillings has already been wired into the parish Saccos accounts.
