Patriots urged to pay loyalty to their country.

Arua city.

Over 600 patriots have been passed out at Arua public secondary school after a 3 days training on patriotism with a call to pay loyalty and positive mindset for their country.

Mawa John Kennedy the deputy head teacher in charge of academics who represented the head teacher of the school during the pass out reiterates the value of patriotism in the country. “When this training was introduced, many civil servants were also trained and that’s why they are not corrupt. Politician and other government officials all underwent this same training including even the head of the state. Which means the government has realized that through this training we are capable of avoiding a lot of anarchy in this society we are living in. Look at these facilities we have around, I think we need people with positive mind” Mawa emphasized.

Onzima Yudah the Arua city patriotism coordinator challenges the patriots to embrace hard work in order to make Uganda the best place to live in. “Uganda the pearl of Africa is the best place to be in, is the country that we are supposed to love with all our hearts and we need to work hard to make this country the best place to live in. it takes your labor, it takes my labor and it takes our labor”. Onzima said.

Guma Abdul Rashid one of the patriot recalls some of the basic things they learned from this 3 days training. “We were taught about when you are stressed, how will you relieve the stress and all the cure were shown clearly, now what we are going to preach to the society is the aspect of peace and solidarity especially how to bring people together and how to solve our problems” Guma recalled.

Among the contents of the patriotism training was parade drilling. Lieutenant Solomon Tumuhairwe the political commissar of the 409 brigade reveals that parade imparts discipline and instills the love for their country. “You have seen yourselves making parade, parade is not for nothing first of all parade imparts discipline and knowledge to the individuals. When someone is doing parade that means you are attaining to the orders, parade instills discipline in the person and even to add up the strength of the individual”. Tumuhairwe affirmed.

The 600 patriots from the senior one and senior two classes were taken through the topics of patriotism, cadetship and social economic transformation under the theme “Arise and shine, the time is now”.
