Religious leaders urge man to reconcile with God during joint way of the cross

The religious leaders across board desire to have man reconcile with God and fellow man. During the joint way of the cross to emulate passion and death of Jesus Christ, clergies believe good relationship among Christians would make purpose of Jesus’ suffering and death a reality.

The Bishop of Anglican diocese of northern Uganda Godfrey Loum thinks good relationship fight envy,Rt. Rev Godfrey Loum says our desire should not over ride God’s desire for man for his Glory.

Meanwhile, Archbishop of Gulu John Baptist Odama was moved by the crowd demonstrating faith but encourages the Christians not to be disfigured by delayed salary to meet domestic needs, sickness like HIV/AIDS, Ebola, COVID-19 and malaria but have passion for one another just like Veronica did to Jesus. ‘Life of Jesus is for compassion, charity and great love that we need to emulate to deepen out like with God and one another’, Archbishop added

Rev. Sam, a member of church missionary society working in the diocese of northern Uganda was moved by big crowd he has never seen in any way of the cross in Britain. According to Rev. Sam, this is a sign of unity brought by Jesus on the cross including the demonstration through drama in the way of the cross.
Gilbert Olanya member of parliament from Amuru district who participated in the ecumenical way of the cross urges parents to be keen of actions and directions of children to have a better Uganda. 

The orthodox bishop Nectatios Kabuye calls on man not to crucify Jesus in the modern days. Bishop Nectorios says only God can liberate man, true freedom is a gift of the holy spirit.
This ecumenical way of the cross was adopted way back in 1993 after the visit by Pope St. John Paul II in northern Uganda at the peak of War in the region. Since then, Anglicans, Orthodox and Catholic maintained the practice todate.
