Parents in West Nile region are called upon to impress the program for feeding their children in schools in order to improve on their learning.
For many school children in West Nile, learning on empty stomach is an everyday reality and this affects their performance as starvation weakens a child’s ability to learn and retain information.

Victor Alioni, the head teacher of Ediofe boy’s primary school says, children need good feeding at school for effective learning, “It is necessary for a child to feed in school because a child who is not fed properly will not perform well,”Alioni said
According to Sally Adania, the head teacher of Niva primary school, school feeding program enables the learners to have enough time for school activities,
Similarly, Kennedy Dramani, the PTA chairman of Ediofe boys primary school encourage parents to change their negative attitude towards school feeding program for better performance in schools. “It’s very appropriate that parents make their children to feed at school, there are times when a child goes home for food and the food delays, I think if parents can change their attitude towards school feeding program, we shall realize some improvement in the performance of children, “said Dramani.
School feeding programs are beneficial for the mental, physical, and psychological development of school going children.
