Koboko District Council Blamed for not getting Remedy to Recruitment Challenges in the District

The 2016/2021 Council of Koboko District Local Government has come under Criticism from some lower local leaders and member of the Public for not doing enough in addressing several recruitment challenges in the District as their mandate comes to an end.According to Donald Sanya aResident of Koboko District the fact that, the Council failed to establish a Service Commission in Place more than a year after the Term of office for those in office expired had a severe impact on service delivery.

Sara Maje, a resident from Dranya Subcounty alleges that, the Council neither monitored nor supervised the activities of the District Service Commission which promoted curruption as some Commission officials recieved bribes to appoint or promote people into Civil Service positions a practice that has undermined the Quality of Service delivery in the District.

The Subcounty Chairperson of Abuku Sub County Swaibu Kenyi says, unless the next Council fights hard to get rid of Curruption and selfish interest among some individuals who carry out the activities of the District service Commission in an erronious manner,the gaps in service delivery in Koboko District are bound not to end.Hon Samanya Dramiga the District Vice Chairperson Koboko District Local Government and the Leader of Government business in the council has put a share of the blame on individuals who offer bribes to the officers on the account of wishing to secure jobs in the District.

Reports not confirmed from Koboko District local Government indicates that, a staff attached to the human resource management Department in the District is under investigation over bribe related Practice.
