Residents in oluffe Sub County in Maracha district have expressed fear over the deteriorating state of a road connecting oluffe Sub County and Ambekua primary school to Kamaka health center three, Kamaka primary and Kamaka Catholic parish as well as to Democratic Republic of Congo.

While speaking to the parishioners of Kamaka Catholic parish on October 13, 2024, Geoffrey Endami the Parish Priest said that there is need for Maracha district to work on the road as the condition of the road is worsening.

He added that there is a big gorge next to the Oluffe bridge river commonly known as gulubu which is scaring the community.

According to Geoffrey, if no attention is given then it may lead to serious problems like accidents, death and economic activities of people will also be affected.

Stella Abaru the community development officer who is also the sub county chief positively accepted the cry of the community members on the worrying situation of the road and the bridge but however she said that the district is aware of the sorrowful status and she appealed to the community members to be calm as plans are under way to improve the road.
